Fasting from food has been practiced thousands of years for social, cultural and religious reasons. General fasting is good for healing and rest your gut, reduces inflammation, burns fat and tones your skin.
Conscious fasting refers to being “conscious” of why you are fasting. You should be able to feel the changes fasting does to your mind, body and consciousness.
Wisdom of the wise recommends fasting at least once or twice a month. For those who are unable to do full fast, they can eat easily digestible foods such as simple fruits, vegetables and drink plenty of water.
